Rick has decided to change the operating hours on Sunday so that they will be closing at midnight from now on. He neglected to tell me this until just half an hour before Breakland started last month -- which is rather uncool, if you ask me.

This means that we'd have at most three hours to spin music, if we started as early as 9 -- but since the place still operates in restaurant mode until 10, that means having toned down music for the first hour. And given the limited hours, there's no way we could practically charge cover. Add to that the difficulty of trying to draw a crowd on a Sunday night for dancing.

So I have decided to pull the plug for now. I may try to get a better night at Luka's (Wed - Sat might be viable), but given the frustrations I've experienced, I'm probably going to try for another venue instead. Which is too bad, because this place really has a lot of potential. Arrgh...
